Project 02
"CAN YOU CREATE A HIGHLY REALISITC SHIP-IN-A-BOX?"
A military safety training simulator was approved following an ideation competition. The requirements included complete immersion, detailed accuracy, realistic emergency scenarios, and safety from start to finish. These specifications aligned well with our expertise in themed entertainment, where we provide immersive experiences, allowing participants to feel as though they are truly in the created environment. Safety is a priority in all our work, and our creative techniques enhance immersion, making this project an effective combination of theme park magic and rigorous training objectives.

Working alongside facility designers, construction experts, a leading simulation vendor, theme park special effects professionals, and scenic and props vendors— under the guidance of an award-winning creative director— we met all project requirements and went further in some areas.
Our project leadership involved coordinating these disciplines and facilitating collaboration with subject matter experts. Despite differing terminology and processes among teams, our collaborative leadership significantly improved cross-communication, clarifying terms, process, and scheduling. We developed a cost-loaded integrated project schedule, identifying key milestones and improvement opportunities. The challenges of aligning theme park designers with government documentation requirements were addressed through negotiation and finding common ground. We guided the creative team in understanding and producing necessary documents.

The training facility/simulator received positive feedback from officials and support from training personnel. A notable comment from a trainee who completed the training stated: "After the first five minutes, I totally believed I was on a real ship for the next 12 hours."
